Henrik Sten Petersen


Deputy Director General the Royal Danish Theatre, Mr. Petersen, has been associated with the management of the Royal Danish Ballet for more than 15 years. An alumnus of the Royal Theatre Ballet School and former Administrative Director of the RDBallet, he possesses extensive knowledge of theatre operations and a deep understanding of the governing economics within the ballet community.

Mary Sharp Cronson

Producer of Works & Process at New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Mrs. Cronson is a Board member of the Guggenheim Museum, New York City Opera and a Director Emerita of New York City Ballet.

Jason McCoy

- Treasurer

President and owner of the eponymous New York City art gallery, Jason McCoy Inc., since 1985, Mr. McCoy has served on the board of directors of Glimmerglass Opera located in Cooperstown, NY. He was instrumental in the founding of the Frederick and Lillian Kiesler Foundation in Vienna, Austria.

Owner and President of Andrew Lauren Productions, Mr. Lauren has extensive experience in film and entertainment production.

Nikolaj Hübbe

- Member of the board

Artistic Director of the Royal Danish Ballet since July 2008, Mr. Hϋbbe began his ballet studies at age 10 and is a graduate of the Royal Theatre Ballet School. Accepted into the Royal Danish Ballet in 1984 he was named a Principal Dancer in 1988. In 1986, he won the Silver Medal in the Paris Ballet Competition and the French Critics Prize. In 1992, he was invited to join New York City Ballet as a Principal Dancer and throughout the years was hailed for his virtuosity in the Bournonville, traditional and neo-classical repertory. During his career, Mr. Hϋbbe has performed, taught and staged works for companies the world over. He gave his last performance with NYCB in February 2008 and his farewell appearance as a dancer in Copenhagen that April.

Erik Jacobsen

Managing Director of the Royal Danish Theatre since 2008. Former Permanent Secretary of State at the Danish Ministry of Environment and at the Danish Ministry of Culture.

Peter Taksøe-Jensen

- Member of the board

Ambassador Taksøe-Jensen has been the Danish Ambassador to the United States since September 2010. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Assistant Secretary-General for Legal Affairs at the United Nations, a post to which he was appointed by U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. Before joining the U.N., the ambassador served for more than two decades with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His postings within the ministry included the Legal Service, Security Policy Department and European Union Law Department. Before Washington, his foreign postings took him to Vienna, Brussels and New York. Ambassador Taksøe-Jensen earned his law degree from the University of Copenhagen.
